The frame for the front gate is silver soldered from 1/16inch brass rod and strip. |
| The slats are laid on to the frame with a small amount of glue to hold them in place. |

The slats are then pinned to the frame using small brass pins. The holes were drilled first, then countersunk on the back, the pin inserted and soldered in place using some solder paste. |
